Notes

Daft Punk's Electroma is a feature-length film featuring the two robot characters created by Thomas Bangalter & Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Although the robot leads are actually played by two actors, they are meant to be the actual band members, as is shown when the two become "human" and don latex caricature masks of Bangalter & Guy-Manuel Homem-Christo. There is no dialogue in the film and very little music, none of it by Daft Punk themselves, but features classic rock, soul and electronic artists such as: Todd Rundgren, Curtis Mayfield and Brian Eno. The film follows the two leads on their quest to reclaim their humanity from their "robot" selves. Although the film was produced after the "Human After All" album, the two sync up perfectly when the album is played at the beginning of the first scene, even after the CD repeats during the second half of the film. Includes Limited Edition 44 Page Picture Book

Daft Punk's Electroma is an odyssey of two robots who journey across a mythic American landscape of haunting, surreal beauty on a quest to become human. A silent feature-length film that made its international debut at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival, Electroma will interest Daft Punk fans and film enthusiasts alike. With its breathtaking cinematography, innovative filming. Daft Punk have never done things by halves. Whether it be taking their name from a scathing review of their previous band Melody Maker described their teenage outfit Darlin' as 'daft punk', refusing to have their photos taken, or their obsession with robots, the French dance duo have consistently taken the road less travelled.
