Iron Maiden is the eponymous debut studio album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden. It was released on 14 April 1980 in the United Kingdom by EMI Records and in the United States by Harvest and Capitol Records. The North American version included the song Sanctuary, previously released in the UK as a non-album single. In 1998, along with the rest of the band's pre-1995 releases, Iron Maiden was remastered with Sanctuary added in all territories but 2015 digital releases and all vinyl. I saw Bruce and the rest in Dallas during the Somewhere in Time tour in the mid 80's with a pack of University of North Texas folks who drove from Denton. An album packed with the signature Maiden harmonies, solo duels and huge choruses fans love, with weighty epics the album closes with an 18-minute opus and punchier songs like Speed Of Light that recall their classic anthems.
