Best & B-Sides. Исполнитель: Swirl 360. 2010 alternative. California Blur. Swirl 360 is a melodic pop rock band, founded by the twins Denny and Kenny Scott. In 1996, twin brothers Denny and Kenny Scott, formerly called Fools of Faith and before that Dream in Color, recorded a set of demos in Jacksonville Beach, Fla. The Scott Brothers brought these recordings to Austin's SXSW South by Southwest music conference, where they met Los Angeles-based music attorney Christopher Sabec, who at that time managed Hanson and Dave Matthews. Most of the music here is dreary, and at first I was expecting sunny California pop, but when I saw the cover art of this disc, the music is exactly consistent with it. Most of the songs deal with painful losses of everyting from relationships, friendships, self-identity, money, etc. The song Okay, an acoustic ballad from the Van Wilder movie, is perhaps the album's finest moment. There is not only a dreary, but an eerie feeling throughout, as the lyrics echo fears and paranoia as well as the self-doubt mentioned earlier
